Plastic Pictures Debuts a Dynamic New Brand Identity, Celebrating Agency Evolution and Creative Expression

November 4, 2024

We’re excited to reveal Plastic Pictures’ fresh new look! After sixteen years of pushing creative boundaries, our brand identity has evolved to reflect the journey from a spirited startup to a global powerhouse that uniquely blends agency creativity with production expertise.

Our Journey from Startup to Global Agency

When we first started, Plastic Pictures was known for our playful energy, ideas and production excellence—a reputation we still hold proudly! But over the years, we’ve grown into a globally recognised production agency, merging big creative vision with production muscle to deliver impactful work for clients around the world. Our new brand identity captures that evolution, keeping the heart of who we are but expanding to show who we’ve become.

More Than a New Look: A Statement of Purpose

This rebrand is more than just a new logo or colour scheme; it’s our way of celebrating growth and committing even more deeply to what we love most - creating and collaborating. As our Co-founder Sara Cooper puts it, “Sixteen years have brought so much growth and change. It’s like we’ve completely outgrown our old clothes. This rebrand isn’t just cosmetic; it’s a reimagining that lets us reflect our journey, our creativity, and our vision for the future. It’s as if we’ve finally found an identity that truly fits.”

At the heart of our new look is the slogan "Idea Shapers"— two short and sweet words that capture what we do best. For us, creativity is never static; it’s a living, breathing thing that takes shape as it moves from person to person. “We kept coming back to the same idea,” says Sara, “creativity as a malleable object that’s pushed, pulled, and shaped by everyone who engages with it.”

Creativity in Motion: A Look That Adapts and Flows

Here at Plastic, ideas are always in motion. Someone’s raw spark gets developed, reshaped, and moulded to meet new challenges, and that’s exactly what this rebrand represents—creativity that adapts and evolves in response to different ideas, environments, and people.

Our Creative Director Sam Gunn, who led the rebrand, explains, “We wanted to reinvent how people encounter Plastic and create visuals that feel fluid, dynamic, and adaptable.” Our new look uses a vibrant colour palette, AI-powered rendering, and a minimalist “P” logo, an affectionate nod to what clients and partners have always called us. “Using the single ‘P’ not only reinforces our brand but also reflects the range of creative services we now offer,” Sam adds.

More Than Production: A Growing Range of Creative Services

Alongside our new look, we’ve also expanded our services beyond traditional production. We offer strategic client insights, content strategy, audience measurement, learning and development, and sustainable production practices, ready to meet any creative challenge. With new tools in generative AI, post-production workflows, and a global network of trusted partners, we’re here to support clients across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA with flexibility and speed.

With this new brand identity, we’re cementing our role as a versatile, forward-thinking agency ready for the evolving world of communications and marketing. For our team of Idea Shapers and Film Makers, this isn’t just a logo or slogan—it’s a celebration of who we are and the exciting journey we’re on.
